ETL Developer

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITY :

Participate in discovering the Decision Support needs of the organization.
Conceptualize, design, and implement the data warehouse to align with the Business Intelligence
strategy in order to achieve desired decision support.
Develop ETL code using SQL, NoSQL, PL/SQL and UNIX scripting. (evaluate open source third party tool if
possible such as Talend)
Review requirements and data models, and translate into ETL design processes that effectively populate
data warehouse and data mart tables
Conduct One time historical data migration and testing for the same. Schedule Delta Loads on RDBMS
(mySQL)
Conduct POCs on proposed solutions or technologies. Utilize open source wherever feasible as per tech
policy.
Support staging, testing and production data warehouses & B.I environments.
Perform database design, schema change management, and database administration tasks (backups/
restores). Perform proactive and reactive monitoring and performance tuning of databases and
optimization of application code; troubleshoots and resolves database integrity issues, performance
issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues,
security issues, index management and statistics.

CANDIDATE BACKGROUND:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related
7+ years solid experience in mySQL/ Mongo DB, Stored Procedures and PL/SQL
Experience with ETL architecture and scripting.
End to end implementation of at least two data warehouses ( & data marts )
Experience with Star Schema & dimensional modelling.
