Lead/Senior Front-end Engineer

We are seeking an engineer and leader with a background in computer science and a passion for user experience. You will take charge of the team that is creating Smart+, premier cloud robotics platform for incident management and robot intervention.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development and maintenance for our customer-facing web application front end
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and help translate these into technical requirements for the development team
• Direct the development team in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of Smart+
• Lead code review and write clean, testable, and maintainable code
• Mentor and coach team members, train new hires
• Help to define the product and contribute to overall architecture design and documentation of Smart+ platform
• Participate in daily standups, code review, testing on physical robots, and other team activities of a typical agile team

Skills

Essential:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of professional experience building web applications in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
• Expert knowledge of Javascript
• Solid knowledge of React.js and its core principles and workflows
• Good communication skills

Desirable:

• Proven leadership experience
• Experience with agile development practices
• Experience with building mobile web applications

Plus:

• Experience leading remote software development team
• Experience with automated frontend testing tools
• Experience with 3D graphics
