The Role
LifeCanvas Technologies is an MIT startup developing cutting-edge technologies and platform that reshape biological tissue studies with the mission of expediting breakthrough discoveries in science and medicine to improve human health.
As Computer Scientist, you will lead the development and scaling of our intelligent image analysis algorithms and pipeline for biomedical image data. Your primary responsibility will involve developing software and algorithms to extract biologically-meaningful data from raw image stacks produced by light-sheet imaging of large tissue samples. You will also create user-friendly next-generation programs for image analysis from both existing platforms and from the ground up. Knowing how to work with large datasets is a must and experience with image processing is a plus. You will also prototype small scale software and libraries for use by other scientists and conduct computer vision experiments and interpret data.
Our ideal candidate will be:
● Experienced in Python, C++ or a similar language - required
● Experience with image analysis, microscopy, and/or biological research are a strong plus
● Experienced working with large datasets
● Able to facilitate quantitative processing and interpretation of highly-multiplexed microscopic images.
● Available to work full-time
