Social Media Coordinator

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
This is an entry-level position for applicants with a background in communications, public relations or a related field. A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, nutrition or related field is required. Good writing, spelling and grammatical skills are a must. Basic knowledge of social media channels is also required. Experience in developing social media content including blogs, video, photography and graphics is desirable. Some knowledge of food, food trends, nutrition or agriculture is preferred.

Skills:
Basic understanding of communicating via social media channels including posting, scheduling and monitoring business social properties (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest)
Advanced writing capabilities (newsletters, press releases, blogging, website content)
Ability to work with a diverse client base
Self-starting, quick and enthusiastic learner with attention to detail
Photography and/or graphic design, helpful

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Daily posting on client social media accounts for a diverse client base on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
2. Monitor and report on social media accounts to track clients’ social media objectives and promotional spending.
3. Assist in creating social media content and implementation of other communications activities, projects and events managed for the firm’s clients.
