About the job
- Seeking an SRE / Software Engineer with strong Java or object-oriented programming experience to improve application reliability, automate operational tasks, and support production systems.
- Core Development Skills: Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, unit testing, debugging, Git, and pull-request-based development.
- SRE Responsibilities: Automate repetitive tasks and reduce toil, participate in on-call incident response, troubleshoot production failures, define SLOs/SLAs and error budgets, and conduct root cause analysis.
- Monitoring & Reliability: Experience with logging, metrics, alerting, Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty, capacity planning, and collaborating with development teams to build resilient applications.
- Preferred Skills: Guidewire PolicyCenter, Gosu, commercial insurance, OpenAPI/Swagger, Apigee, OAuth2/JWT/mTLS, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Liquibase, GitHub Actions, Harness, AWS, Kubernetes, Vault, and automated testing tools such as Postman, JUnit, Mockito, and Playwright.
