The role
We’re looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the deployment of Twin1 within sophisticated enterprise customer environments.

This is a highly customer-facing, hands-on engineering role. You will often be Twin1’s primary technical representative with a client and must be trusted to work independently with senior engineers, architects, security leaders and executives. You’ll need to understand their requirements, make sound technical decisions, communicate clearly and drive deployments forward without constant oversight.

You will own deployments from discovery through production, solve problems across infrastructure and application layers, and turn lessons from each engagement into reusable product and platform capabilities. This direct customer collaboration is central to the role, not an occasional responsibility.

What you’ll do

• Own enterprise customer deployments from technical discovery through launch and operational handover.
• Build trusted relationships with customer infrastructure, networking, identity and security teams.
• Lead technical calls independently, communicate trade-offs clearly and manage difficult deployment conversations with sound judgement.
• Translate customer requirements and security controls into practical deployment architectures.
• Deploy and troubleshoot Twin1 across Azure and other customer-managed or private environments.
• Diagnose issues spanning application code, cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, security and integrations.
• Build reusable infrastructure-as-code, deployment tooling, readiness checks, documentation and upgrade procedures.
• Turn customer-specific work into standard product and platform capabilities.
• Help create a repeatable, secure deployment model and production-ready Azure Marketplace offering.
• Identify risks early and take ownership of resolving them.

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years of relevant software, cloud infrastructure or platform engineering experience.
• Significant experience delivering production systems in complex enterprise customer environments.
• The judgement, maturity and communication skills to represent Twin1 independently with sophisticated clients.
• Deep hands-on Azure experience, particularly networking, identity, security and governance.
• Strong experience with Terraform and Bicep or ARM templates.
• Experience with containers, CI/CD, observability, secrets management and controlled releases.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networking, IAM, private connectivity and cloud security.
• Ability to debug confidently across infrastructure, application and integration boundaries.
• Strong application engineering skills, ideally in Python or a similar language.
• High ownership and comfort operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving company.

Particularly useful

• Azure Marketplace experience.
• Experience with regulated or security-conscious clients.
• Private-cloud, hybrid, restricted-network or on-premises deployment experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Graph, Microsoft 365 or Teams.
• Working familiarity with AWS or GCP.

What success looks like
Customer deployments become faster, more predictable and less dependent on founders. Clients trust you as their primary technical counterpart, while the work from each deployment becomes reusable infrastructure and product capability.
