About the role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to help us understand product usage and improve the quality of our job data. You will turn questions about the job-search experience into analyses that the team can use to make product decisions.

What you will do

• Analyze how users move from discovering a job to opening an application, using events that the product can reliably measure.
• Check job data for duplicates, missing fields, and inconsistent titles or locations.
• Write SQL queries and build reports that make changes in product usage easier to understand.
• Define metrics with the team and check that tracking supports the questions being asked.
• Explain findings, limitations, and recommended next steps in clear language.

What we are looking for

• Ability to use SQL to join, filter, and summarize data.
• Experience cleaning data and checking results with spreadsheets or another analysis tool.
• Understanding of basic statistics, including sample size and the difference between correlation and causation.
• Ability to explain an analysis to someone who did not write it.

Helpful experience

Python or R, product analytics, dashboard tools, experiment analysis, or projects involving messy datasets. Relevant experience can come from work, coursework, or independent projects.
