What will you do every day?
The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in establishing and managing the financial operations. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced finance professional to shape the financial landscape of an early-stage startup and contribute directly to our success. This position reports to the company’s co-founder Prateek Gupte

Mandatory Skills required to apply for this role:

High integrity:

• Develop, implement, and oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Provide insightful analysis on financial performance, trends, and KPIs to support strategic decision making. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Cash Flow Management:
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for day-to-day operations and growth initiatives. Internal Controls and Risk Management:
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and appropriate strategies. Taxation and Compliance:
• Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Optimise tax strategies to maximize financial efficiency. Financial Systems and Tools:
• Evaluate, implement, and manage financial systems and tools to streamline processes and improve reporting accuracy. GST & TDS Compliance:
• Manage GST/TDS compliance, reconciliations, statutory filings and tax coordination. Payroll Operations:
• Oversee payroll processing, salary structures, statutory deductions and employee settlements. Business & Administrative Operations:
• Support cross-functional activities involving HR, legal, procurement, vendor management, contracts, operational planning and other business administration requirements.

Qualifications-

• High integrity
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s degree or CA preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in early-stage startups or high-growth environments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance. Proficiency in financial software and systems .
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
