Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer (Health Tech)

At Niuro, we're hiring a Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer for a US health tech company. Full-time, remote from LATAM (Costa Rica preferred), approximately 6-month contract, start ASAP.

About the role

Join a small, flat engineering team building on an existing health tech platform: a TypeScript monorepo with a NestJS backend and multiple Next.js clients. You'll bring hands-on experience shipping LLM features to real users into the team's day-to-day work.

What you'll do

• Own features end to end across the NestJS backend, the Next.js clients and the data layer.
• Build LLM features, agentic workflows with tool calling and data enrichment, with evaluation and failure handling from the start.
• Work with patient and provider data with the care regulated data requires.
• Make technical decisions and deliver with minimal supervision.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of full-stack development.
• LLM features shipped to production: prompt design, retrieval (RAG), evaluation and handling model failures.
• NestJS and Next.js in production with TypeScript; monorepo experience.
• REST and/or GraphQL APIs, solid PostgreSQL, data pipelines and integrations.
• Observability, Docker and CI/CD.
• C1 English.
• Available to start within two weeks for about six months.

Nice to have: GCP or AWS, Python, HIPAA or regulated data, healthcare or EHR, experience with US companies.
