Linux Systems Engineer

MANTECH seeks an experienced and passionate, career and customer-oriented Systems Engineer to join our team located in the Fort Meade, MD area.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited ToDesign, implement, and manage enterprise-level virtualized environments and infrastructure.Provide full-lifecycle systems administration for hardware and software across development, test, and production environments.Deploy and maintain IT automation solutions to streamline operational tasks within secure, isolated network architectures.Engineer and optimize scalable storage solutions and complex file system configurations.Author and present technical program documentation and briefings for senior-level management and stakeholders.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a technical field and 14+ years of relevant Systems Engineering experience; or an Associate's degree with 19+ years’ experience.Experience with Linux administration and engineering.3 years of active, hands-on experience using at least one of the following: Kubernetes/Rancher OR Ansible including AAP (Ansible Automation Platform) OR AWS Virtual Environment Provisioning, Management, OrchestrationProficiency in Bash scripting and infrastructure automationExperience orchestrating enterprise virtualization (VMware vSphere) OR Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI).Preferred QualificationsAdvanced scripting in Python or Perl.Proficiency in PKI certificate management and hardware security modules.Experience implementing automated security hardening (STIGs/CIS).AWS Virtual Environment Provisioning, Management, Orchestration CertificationClearance RequirementCurrent/Active TS/SCI with PolygraphPhysical RequirementsMust be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as, the copy machine/fax machine/computer/printer.
