About DeepLogic AI
DeepLogic AI is an AI-first technology consulting and product innovation company that builds end-to-end, intelligent software tailored to real business needs. We operate through two complementary verticals: our Services division, which delivers high-quality AI-driven solutions for global clients, and our Innovation Labs, where we transform in-house ideas and market insights into scalable, revenue-ready products. We help organizations adopt AI responsibly, automate complex workflows, and unlock new capabilities across their operations.
Know more about us at https://www.deeplogicai.tech/
We build platforms that ingest, extract, validate, and transform key information and feed it into downstream workflows, dashboards, and integrations.
Our stack includes Python (FastAPI/Django), TypeScript, Svelte/SvelteKit, PostgreSQL, Docker, GitHub Actions, AWS/GCP, and a mix of AI/ML components for document understanding and analytics.
Role Overview
As a Software Engineer Intern — Data & Development, you will:
- Work with real business data to design and refine how our systems extract and validate information
- Build Python scripts and small services that automate checks, reporting, and internal workflows
- Contribute to internal tools (APIs, UIs, dashboards) that support our workflows
You’re not just clicking buttons in a tool; you’re engineering the logic and code that make the tool accurate and reliable.
What you’ll do (Responsibilities)
1. Data & Document Extraction Logic
- Study sample data and other structured/semi-structured files to understand their structure and semantics.
- Help define the target data schema: what fields we care about, expected formats, constraints.
- Implement and refine extraction logic, including:
- Regex/pattern-based rules
- Label/keyword-based matching
- Simple layout/position-based heuristics
- Run test jobs, review extracted outputs, and iteratively improve extraction quality.
- Document tricky patterns and edge cases so they can be reused in future configurations.
2. Python Scripting & Automation
- Write Python scripts to:
- Validate extracted data (type checks, ranges, cross-field consistency)
- Aggregate results and generate summary reports (e.g. error stats, coverage stats)
- Clean and pre-process inputs or outputs (renaming, restructuring, filtering)
- Work with JSON/CSV as first-class citizens: loading, transforming, and saving data.
- Where needed, wrap scripts into simple CLI tools or lightweight APIs.
3. Internal Tools & Pipelines (Dev Work)
- Contribute to features/improvements in tools such as:
- Configuration UIs for data extraction pipelines and softwares.
- Onboarding/control workflows.
- Developer/ops softwares and internal tools.
- Tech exposure:
- Backend: Python (FastAPI/Django), REST APIs
- Frontend: Svelte/SvelteKit + Tailwind (for simple UI tweaks/tools)
- Database: PostgreSQL (reading/writing data, understanding schemas)
- DevOps: GitHub, CI, Docker (for running and testing services)
4. Process Improvement & Documentation
- Suggest better ways to test, validate, and configure new data/document types.
- Write short runbooks (“When you see error X or pattern Y, do this…”).
- Create internal guides with screenshots/GIFs that make it easier for future engineers to understand your work.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations to share insights and close the loop between code and reality.
Must-have Skills & Qualities
Technical Skills
- Solid Python fundamentals:
- Control flow, functions, modules
- File I/O, error handling
- Comfortable using virtualenv/poetry/pip for basic setup
- Comfortable with JSON/CSV and basic data manipulation.
- Regex basics or strong willingness to learn (we’ll use it frequently for parsing).
- Understanding, at a conceptual level, of how APIs and web backends work.
- Interest in AI/ML / computer vision / data extraction (projects, courses, or self-learning are all valid).
- Should have Linux/Mac based system or be ready to dual boot
Analytical & Problem-Solving
- Very strong attention to detail — you like making sure every field is exactly right.
- Able to reason about edge cases and “what if” scenarios in data and logic.
- Comfortable reading real documents/screens and turning them into structured rules.
Work Ethic & Collaboration
- You take ownership of tasks and close the loop (test, document, and not just code once and forget).
- Clear written communication: you can explain what you did and why.
- Curious and humble — not afraid to ask questions, but also willing to dig and debug on your own.
Nice-to-have (Bonus)
- Experience with FastAPI/Django/Flask or modern frontend frameworks (Svelte/React/Vue).
- Basic SQL (SELECT/JOIN) to debug data or build small checks.
- Exposure to Docker, GitHub Actions, or cloud environments (AWS/GCP).
- Any experience using OpenCV, PDF libraries, or OCR tools.
- Prior work with data labeling/annotation/document processing.
Why this role is great for you
- It’s a real engineering role: you write Python code, design extraction logic, and touch live pipelines.
- You see how a production-grade AI/document-processing system actually works end-to-end.
- You build a rare hybrid skillset:
- Data/document understanding and engineering
- Practical Python, development & automation
- Web/backend and tooling exposure
From here, you can grow into:
- Backend / Fullstack Engineer
- Data / ML / Computer Vision Engineer
- Internal Tools / Platform Engineer
- Technical Product / Solutions roles around AI and automation
Why DeepLogicAI
- Impact & ownership from day one; authority to fix processes, not just report on them.
- Growth path across product, ops, and engineering—breadth encouraged.
- Stiped: ₹8,000–₹15,000 per month, depending on your skills and performance in the process
- Duration: 3–6 months, full-time preferred
- Location: Remote-first, and Hybrid if required from Delhi NCR (Ghaziabad) or Visakhapatnam
- Strong performance → extended internship and/or full-time role with competitive salary.
Hiring Process
- Application Screening – based on your profile and it’s alignment with the role, we shall screen your application.
- Take-home assignment (48–72 h) - Will be shared after initial shortlist.
- Interview call (20–30 min) - deep-dive into your projects, approach towards assignment, how you think, technical know-how, etc.
- Final chat (10 min): culture questions, offer discussion and additional details.
Please note: Due to the high volume of applications, we may not be able to provide individual feedback to every applicant. Please apply only if you are comfortable with this process. Thank you for your understanding.
