About Tom Sharman and The Content Operators

Tom Sharman is a UK content operator and founder of The Content Operators, based in Brighton. He builds the strategy, teams and systems that turn creators and entrepreneurs into media businesses. He has previously worked with Sam Stoffel, Ben Heath, Niko Omilana, The Burnt Chip and Secret Leaders, among others. He takes on a small number of clients, and the team works remotely: the editors already work across Pakistan and the Philippines.

Help creators and founders work out what to make and why, alongside Tom. This is a talent pool role. Tom is always meeting good people, and work goes to the pool as clients need it.

What you'll do

• Research a client's audience, their competitors and what is working on each platform
• Draft ideas, hooks and formats for creators and founders
• Help build personal brand strategy for founders
• Review what went out and say what to change next

You'll be great if

• You have grown an account, yours or a client's, and can show the numbers
• You can explain why a video worked in plain words
• You write clearly and briefly
• You want to learn how a fractional head of content works
• You can show a portfolio with view counts

How it works

• Rate: agreed per project
• Hours: Freelance, as client work needs
• Location: remote, applicants in the United Kingdom
• Process: short portfolio review, a paid trial edit or task, then ongoing work
