Software Development Engineer (Full Stack)

About the Role:

Analystt AI Technology Private Limited is hiring a mid-level Software Developer (SDE) who enjoys building both the front end and back end of web applications. You will work with our product and engineering team on real features used by real customers, and grow alongside experienced engineers. This is a fully remote role.

*What You Will Do *

• Build and maintain web application features, both the user-facing screens and the back-end logic behind them.
• Develop and integrate APIs and connect them to databases.
• Write clean, tested, well-documented code.
• Find and fix bugs and help improve performance.
• Take part in code reviews and act on feedback.
• Work with the product team to turn requirements into working features.
• Join daily stand-ups and sprint meetings and update task progress on time (we use Jira).
• Keep learning new tools and technologies as the team needs them.
• Own features end to end, from design discussion and estimation through release and post-release monitoring.
• Design scalable, maintainable APIs and data models, and document key technical decisions.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and security of existing systems and reduce technical debt.
• Mentor junior developers and interns through code reviews and pairing.
• Investigate production incidents and contribute to root-cause analysis and fixes.

Requirements

• Build and maintain production web application features across the frontend and backend, working independently and seeking guidance from senior engineers on complex problems.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs, including validation, error handling, authentication, and integration with databases and external services.
• Have built at least one meaningful software project through college, personal work, internships, freelancing, or open source, and be able to clearly explain the problem, design decisions, implementation, and trade-offs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, using appropriate unit, integration, and UI testing practices.
• Use Git and code review workflows effectively, including creating focused pull requests and incorporating feedback.
• Debug issues across the application stack, using logs, traces, tests, and other debugging tools to identify and fix root causes.
• Have a strong understanding of databases, HTTP, Linux, and application deployment, and be able to work comfortably with an existing development environment.
• Be able to work with CI/CD pipelines and have a strong understanding of deploying and maintaining software in non-production and production environments.
• Use AI-assisted development tools as part of the development workflow while understanding, reviewing, testing, and taking responsibility for the code they produce.
• Break assigned work into manageable tasks, communicate blockers early, and keep Jira and task status up to date.
• Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, sprint planning, and technical discussions, and communicate clearly with the team
• Be comfortable learning unfamiliar technologies, codebases, and tools when the project requires them.

What We Are Looking For

• Must Have Strong knowledge of programming fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms
• Front end: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one framework such as React
• Back end: any one of Node.js, Python, or Java, with strong REST API knowledge
• Strong database knowledge (SQL, and ideally one NoSQL database such as MongoDB)
• Strong working knowledge of Git and version control, including branching strategies and resolving merge conflicts
• Clear written and spoken communication, since the team works remotely
• 2+ years of experience building and shipping production web applications
• System design fundamentals: data modeling, caching, background jobs and queues, and scalability trade-offs
• Application security basics: authentication and authorization, OWASP top 10, and secrets management
• Experience with Docker and deploying to a cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP)
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems

• Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS)
• Exposure to AI tools or APIs
• Understanding of testing and debugging practices
• TypeScript and a modern React framework such as Next.js
• Experience with Redis, message queues, or event-driven and microservice architectures
• Infrastructure as code (Terraform) or Kubernetes exposure
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, prompt design, or retrieval-based (RAG) features
• Open-source contributions or technical writing

Education
B.Tech / BE / BCA / MCA / B.Sc (IT/CS) or equivalent practical skills
