CAE Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a Mechanical FEA Modeler (Abaqus) to support advanced engineering projects focused on structural and thermal simulations. This role involves developing high-quality finite element models, performing geometry cleanup and meshing, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver accurate simulation results.

Pay Range: $79 - $89/hr.(The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed finite element models using Abaqus CAE.
• Perform geometry cleanup, model preparation, and high-quality meshing using NX CAD.
• Set up material properties, boundary conditions, and load cases for structural and thermal analyses.
• Troubleshoot and optimize simulation models to improve convergence and computational efficiency.
• Support pre-processing and post-processing of simulation results.
• Utilize Python scripting to automate modeling tasks when applicable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development cycle.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience with Abaqus CAE.
• Strong experience in finite element modeling (FEA), geometry preparation, and meshing.
• Hands-on experience with NX CAD.
• Strong understanding of structural and mechanical analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Python scripting for Abaqus automation.
• Experience with ANSA and/or HyperMesh.
• Experience with thermal analysis or composite materials.
• Background in mechanical design or structural analysis.
