About the job

Client Account & Project Manager

Slaymaker Marketing | Remote

Slaymaker Marketing helps ecommerce and B2B brands grow through paid advertising, creative, landing page optimization, and better measurement.

We’re hiring a Client Account & Project Manager to become our clients’ main point of contact, own day-to-day communication, and keep work moving across our team.

Your primary goal: make clients feel informed, cared for, and confident that we’re on top of their account.

You’ll take communication and coordination off our specialists’ plates so they can spend more time improving performance. You’ll work closely with our founder and specialist leads to turn their expertise into a clear, consistent client experience.

What success looks like

We want every client to feel:

  • “I know what’s happening.” They understand what we’re working on, what we’re learning, and what comes next. Updates arrive consistently, with useful context.
  • “They care about my business.” You understand their priorities, remember previous conversations, listen closely, and make sure their questions receive thoughtful answers.
  • “They have everything under control.” Commitments are tracked, requests are followed through, and deadlines are clear. When something changes, you explain it early and provide a next step.
  • “They’re thinking ahead.” You anticipate questions, identify blockers, gather what the team needs, and bring up opportunities or concerns before the client has to ask.

Success means clients receive updates without chasing us, specialists have clear priorities, and our founder can trust that communication and coordination are being handled.

What you’ll own

Client communication and relationships

  • Serve as the primary contact for client emails, Slack messages, questions, and requests.
  • Send proactive updates covering progress, priorities, results, and next steps.
  • Prepare client call agendas, lead project updates, and involve specialists when their expertise is needed.
  • Send clear meeting recaps with decisions, action items, owners, and deadlines.
  • Gather verified answers from specialists, communicate them clearly, and close the loop with the client.
  • Recognize client concerns early and make sure they receive attention.

Project management and follow-through

  • Turn client requests and meeting notes into actionable Asana tasks with clear context, ownership, and deadlines.
  • Coordinate work across paid media, creative, landing pages, and tracking.
  • Follow up on commitments, resolve unclear handoffs, and escalate blockers early.
  • Track approvals, assets, access requests, and other dependencies.
  • Confirm scope and team capacity before committing to additional work or delivery dates.
  • Coordinate coverage during team absences and keep account documentation current.

Onboarding and process improvement

  • Guide new clients through access collection, kickoff preparation, and next steps.
  • Establish communication expectations and make responsibilities clear.
  • Improve recurring processes so information is easy to find and work moves forward reliably.

Who we’re looking for

  • Experience managing clients and projects at a digital marketing agency.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with confidence leading client conversations.
  • Familiarity with paid advertising and metrics such as ROAS, CPA, conversion rate, and lead quality.
  • Strong judgment about what you can answer, what needs specialist input, and what needs escalation.
  • Comfort managing multiple accounts and competing priorities.
  • Experience with Slack, Asana, and meeting documentation tools.
  • Reliable availability during agreed U.S. business hours.

You should be comfortable following up with busy teammates, asking thoughtful questions, and taking responsibility for getting an answer. We value someone who notices what needs attention and moves it forward without waiting for detailed instructions.

How we’ll work together

Our specialists own channel strategy, campaign management, optimization, and technical execution. You own client communication, coordination, and follow-through, with support from our founder and specialist leads.

How to apply

Please include:

  1. A brief overview of your agency project management and client communication experience.
  2. The number and types of client accounts you’ve managed simultaneously.
  3. An anonymized example of a client update or meeting recap you’ve written.
  4. Your time zone, weekly availability, and expected compensation.
  5. A short example of how you handled a missed internal deadline while keeping the client informed and the project moving.
