Role: Mainframe Developer/Programmer
Job Type: Contract
Location: Dearborn, MI (Onsite)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer/Programmer with strong expertise in COBOL and IBM mainframe technologies. The candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise mainframe applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using COBOL.
- Write and maintain JCL for batch processing.
- Develop and optimize DB2 SQL queries and database programs.
- Work with CICS and mainframe transaction processing.
- Perform application enhancements, debugging, and production support.
- Analyze and resolve application defects and production issues.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and other developers.
- Support batch jobs, scheduling, and application performance.
- Follow Agile/software development and documentation standards.
