HUBZone applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. (HUBZone Map)

Solutions Architect, Robotics: Wildflower is seeking a Solutions Architect to develop robotic solutions for inspection, security, hazardous environments, and industrial operations, with an initial focus on our partnership with Ghost Robotics and its Vision 60 platform. We welcome candidates with experience working with Ghost Robotics, Boston Dynamics, humanoid robotics, autonomous mobile robots, collaborative robots, manufacturing robotics, or warehouse automation, whether gained at a manufacturer, systems integrator, or organization deploying these technologies. The ideal candidate brings strong practical experience in areas such as robotic systems integration, autonomy, AI and machine vision, sensors and payloads, manipulation, communications, or fleet management, together with the ability to apply that expertise to new platforms. Working closely with Business Development, customers, and technology partners, this architect will assess operational challenges, determine where robotics can deliver measurable value, and develop solution designs, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and accurate customer quotes. The role requires sound judgment about technical capabilities, safety, integration requirements, and deployment limitations, along with a commitment to becoming the SME for assigned robotics technologies and helping expand Wildflower’s offerings as the field advances.

Position Summary: The Solutions Architect (SA) serves as Wildflower’s technical expert within an assigned technology discipline, working with Business Development to translate customer needs and operational challenges into practical, supportable solutions. The role leads technical discovery, develops solution designs, and prepares customer quotes in coordination with sales and partner teams. Proposed solutions must address the customer’s mission or business objectives, technical environment, budget, and implementation requirements. The Solutions Architect combines deep subject matter expertise with knowledge of Wildflower’s capabilities and technology partners to determine how customer problems can be solved. This position supports both established and emerging technologies, maintains current knowledge of artificial intelligence and its applications, and helps customers evaluate technology decisions. Each position includes an additional Technology Focus and Role Specific Requirements section defining its specialty.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Partner with Business Development to investigate customer pain points, assess the existing environment, and define requirements, constraints, and measurable outcomes
  2. Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned opportunities and customer relationships.
  3. Lead technical discussions and explain solution capabilities, limitations, and tradeoffs to technical and nontechnical audiences
  4. Design solutions that combine appropriate hardware, software, services, and support.
  5. Evaluate compatibility, integration, performance, scalability, cybersecurity, lifecycle costs, and operational requirements within the assigned discipline
  6. Prepare and validate solution configurations, bills of materials, technical specifications, and customer quotes. Work with Inside Sales, suppliers, and partners to confirm pricing, licensing, required services, availability, and support coverage under Wildflower’s approval processes
  7. Maintain working knowledge of Wildflower’s manufacturer and service partners, their capabilities, and available technical resources. Engage the appropriate specialists to resolve customer needs, validate designs, and address gaps; recommend additional partners when needed
  8. Support Capture Management, Business Development, and Inside Sales with technical responses to requests for information, quotes, and proposals.
  9. Plan and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proofs of concept, coordinating partner resources as needed. Establish evaluation criteria, document results, and communicate any limitations before customer commitments are made
  10. Assess customer security, site, procurement, and regulatory requirements. Incorporate requirements into the proposed solution and identify issues requiring additional review
  11. Maintain current expertise through hands-on evaluation, manufacturer training, certifications, and ongoing research. Evaluate how AI, automation, and other emerging technologies can improve customer solutions within the assigned discipline
  12. Use company-approved AI tools to support research, analysis, solution development, and documentation. Independently validate outputs and protect customers, company, and government information in accordance with applicable requirements
  13. Maintain accurate opportunity documentation and provide a clear technical handoff to implementation, operations, and support teams. Communicate requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and open issues, and assist with technical clarification during delivery
  14. Travel to customer facilities, partner locations, demonstrations, training, and industry events as needed.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned in support of Wildflower's vision, mission, values, and business objectives

Job Qualifications/Requirements

  1. Active bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, or equivalent professional experience
  2. Five or more years of relevant technical experience, including demonstrated success in customer-facing solution design, presales engineering, systems integration, or a related role
  3. Deep, current expertise in the assigned technology discipline, supported by practical experience evaluating, configuring, integrating, or troubleshooting relevant solutions
  4. Demonstrated ability to translate customer problems into technical solutions, evaluate alternatives, and determine when other specialist expertise is required
  5. Experience developing technical proposals, solution configurations, bills of materials, and customer quotes, including an understanding of product licensing, services, support, and lifecycle costs
  6. Working knowledge of AI concepts, practical applications, limitations, and data considerations relevant to the assigned discipline. Ability to use AI tools responsibly and independently verify their outputs
  7. Relevant industry or manufacturer certifications, or equivalent demonstrated technical expertise. Ability to obtain and maintain certifications required for the assigned role, customers, or partner programs
  8. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build credibility with customers, collaborate across teams, and explain complex technical concepts clearly
  9. Sound judgment, attention to detail, and dependable follow-through.
  10. Ability to work independently, manage concurrent opportunities, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines
  11. Proficiency with business productivity, collaboration, technical documentation, and solution configuration tools; ability to learn Wildflower’s CRM, quoting, and enterprise systems
  12. Active DOE or DoD security clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain the clearance required for assigned customer work
  13. Ability and willingness to travel to customer and partner sites as required. A valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable under company policy are required when driving is part of the assignment

Technology Focus and Role Specific Requirements

Each position will have one or more assigned technology focus areas, such as Robotics, Data Center, Networking, AI, End User Computing, Video Teleconferencing (VTC), Mission Critical Communications, or Counter-UAS. All Solutions Architects are expected to be cross trained across Wildflower’s full portfolio of solutions while serving as the subject matter expert (SME) in their assigned technology area or areas. The role-specific section will define applicable platforms, partner technologies, technical competencies, certifications, and any additional customer or operational requirements. These requirements supplement the common responsibilities and qualifications above.
