Sr Software Engineer

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend
• applications.
• Develop robust and scalable RESTful APIs and backend services for web applications and third
• party integrations.
• Design and optimize MySQL/PostgreSQL databases, queries, schemas, and data models.
• Integrate and manage third-party APIs, external platforms, payment systems, and
• business applications.
• Develop backend services and integrations using Node.js and/or Python where required.
• Work with AI/LLM-based applications, integrating LLM APIs and AI capabilities into backend
• systems.
• Develop and integrate RAG workflows, including document ingestion, embeddings, vector
• search, retrieval, context management, and LLM-based responses.
• Work with vector databases, semantic search, prompt engineering, and AI-powered
• automation.
• Build secure and reliable backend systems for applications handling sensitive financial and
• client data.
• Optimize application performance through query optimization, caching, debugging,
• profiling, and code optimization.
• Identify technical issues and perform effective root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Write clean, reusable, modular, and maintainable code following software engineering
• best practices.
• Develop unit, integration, API, and functional tests to ensure backend reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural and technical decisions.
• Use Git, branching, pull requests, and CI/CD workflows effectively.
• Work closely with Product, AI, QA, and Engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable
• technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers and take ownership of backend
• features from development through deployment.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies across backend development, APIs, cloud services, AI/LLMs, and RAG.

Desired Profile

• Strong expertise in Python, with experience designing and building scalable backend
• applications and services.
• Solid frontend development experience with React.js and/or Vue.js, along with strong
• proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Good working experience with Node.js and/or Python for backend services, integrations,
• automation, or AI-related development.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, development, integration, authentication,
• and third-party services.
• Practical experience working with LLMs and Generative AI, including integrating LLM APIs into
• production applications.
• Hands-on understanding of RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) concepts and
• workflows, including embeddings, vector search, document retrieval, context management, and LLM responses

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 7–10 years of strong backend development experience.
• Strong experience designing and developing scalable backend applications and REST APIs.
• Excellent knowledge of Python, MySQL/PostgreSQL, OOP, MVC, design patterns, and API
• architecture.
• Experience with Node.js and/or Python for backend services, integrations, automation, or AI applications.
• Strong understanding of API authentication, authorization, security, third-party integrations, and performance optimization.
• Practical experience integrating LLMs / Generative AI APIs into applications.
• Hands-on understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and AI workflows.
• Experience working with Git, testing, debugging, code reviews, and Agile development practices.
