About Clip

Clip Automation is an Industry 4.0 company revolutionizing manufacturing operations worldwide. Based in Silicon Valley and founded by former Apple and Juul engineers with 30+ years of experience solving efficiency, productivity, and manufacturing challenges in high-volume production, Clip brings people, processes, and machines together.

Our SaaS platform, ClipSuite, spans cloud and edge and leverages IoT, AI, and ML to deliver industrial data extraction, remote asset video monitoring, real-time collaboration, machine-driven data, and detailed reporting — all in one customizable, user-friendly system. The Opportunity

Factory operators, engineers, and plant managers rely on ClipSuite to see what's happening on their lines in real time. We're looking for a Frontend Engineer with a strong eye for UI/UX to build interfaces that make complex machine data, live video, and collaboration tools feel simple.

You'll own features end to end — from design collaboration to production — across our web and mobile experiences, and help shape our design system as we grow.

What You'll Do

  • Build responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React and TypeScript
  • Develop and evolve front-end architecture and a reusable component library / design system
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Engineering and other External Stakeholders on inputs, requirements & output.
  • Partner closely with Dev, Database, Product and Design to turn workflows into intuitive, accessible experiences — letting user experience drive design choices
  • Build real-time dashboards and data visualizations for machine telemetry, alerts, and reporting
  • Integrate with REST/GraphQL APIs and real-time data streams (WebSockets)
  • Balance functional and aesthetic design while maintaining brand consistency
  • Monitor and improve front-end performance, reliability, and accessibility
  • Write clean, tested, well-documented code; participate in code reviews
  • Gather and evaluate user feedback, and recommend and ship improvements
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing features

What You'll Bring

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Min 5+ years of front-end development experience, with 3+ years in React
  • Deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS (including modern layout and responsive design)
  • Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, React Query, or similar) and modern build tooling (Vite, Webpack)
  • Strong UI/UX sensibility — comfortable working from Figma and contributing to design decisions
  • Testing experience with Jest, React Testing Library, and/or Cypress/Playwright
  • Experience with browser-based debugging and performance profiling
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Data visualization libraries (D3, Recharts, ECharts, Highcharts)
  • Real-time UIs and live video streaming in the browser
  • React Native or mobile experience
  • Accessibility (WCAG) expertise
  • Experience with big data, IoT, or Industry 4.0 products
  • Manufacturing, production, or operations environment experience
