Alto Cirra is hiring a Head of Regulatory and Government Affairs. This is a full-time, remote role open to candidates across North America.

Role overview
Lead regulatory strategy and government affairs for Alto Cirra’s atmospheric operations. The role navigates aviation requirements, FAA approvals and waivers, and municipal, state, and federal policy coordination.

What you’ll do

• Research regulatory pathways and coordinate preparation, review, and tracking of FAA approvals and waiver requests.
• Build and maintain working relationships with municipal, state, federal, and institutional stakeholders.
• Prepare clear policy analysis, correspondence, and briefing materials that help internal teams understand requirements and decisions.

Required skills and criteria

• Experience working with aviation regulation, government affairs, or a comparable regulatory policy environment.
• Ability to research complex rules, organize documentation, and coordinate multiple external stakeholders.
• Clear, careful writing and sound judgment when representing the organization.

Recommended skills

• Familiarity with FAA processes, UAS operations, or weather-modification policy.
• Experience coordinating with local governments, agencies, or research institutions.
