React Full Stack Developer - REMOTE

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and technically strong React Full-Stack Developer to join our growing team. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to the design, development, and evolution of modern web applications while working in a collaborative, early-stage technology environment. The React Full-Stack Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining full-stack web applications, including responsive frontend experiences, backend services, API integrations, and database-driven functionality. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building production-ready web applications using React, JavaScript or TypeScript, and modern backend technologies. This individual should be comfortable working across the technology stack, solving complex technical problems, and taking ownership of features from initial concept through deployment. Experience with location-based services, GPS, maps, geospatial data, real-time applications, or data-intensive platforms is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using React and modern JavaScript or TypeScript technologies.
Build responsive, intuitive, accessible, and high-quality user interfaces that deliver excellent user experiences across desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers.
Develop reusable frontend components, application layouts, and maintainable client-side architectures.
Build and maintain backend services, server-side application logic, and API integrations.
Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs and, where appropriate, GraphQL APIs.
Work with relational and non-relational databases to support application functionality, data integrity, and performance.
Implement authentication, authorization, session management, and appropriate application security controls.
Integrate frontend applications with backend services, third-party APIs, and external platforms.
Implement location-based and geospatial functionality where applicable, including maps, geolocation, GPS data, and location-aware services.
Develop real-time functionality using appropriate technologies, such as WebSockets, server-sent events, or event-driven architecture, when required by product needs.
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and testable code following established engineering practices.
Test, debug, and optimize applications across supported browsers, devices, and environments.
Identify and resolve performance, usability, reliability, security, and scalability issues.
Apply frontend and backend performance optimization techniques, including efficient rendering, data fetching, caching, and database query optimization.
Participate in technical architecture, application design, infrastructure, and product planning discussions.
Collaborate with developers, product contributors, company leadership, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
Contribute to application deployment, continuous integration and continuous delivery, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance.
Use Git and modern development workflows to manage source code, review changes, and collaborate effectively.
Evaluate emerging technologies, frameworks, and development tools that could improve product quality, engineering efficiency, or scalability.
Take ownership of assigned features and projects, balancing technical quality with development speed and startup priorities.
Contribute to application security, reliability, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Communicate technical decisions, progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.

What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
Equivalent professional experience, technical training, coding bootcamp experience, or demonstrated software development expertise may be considered in lieu of a degree.
3+ years of professional software development experience preferred.
2+ years of hands-on experience developing applications with React preferred.
Demonstrated experience developing and deploying web applications that incorporate both frontend and backend functionality.
Experience contributing to production applications, independently delivering features, and supporting software after deployment.

Frontend Development
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with React, including functional components, hooks, state management, component composition, and reusable UI architecture.
Experience with modern frontend development tools and workflows, such as Vite, Webpack, npm, or equivalent tooling.
Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, accessibility, and browser compatibility.
Experience integrating frontend applications with REST APIs and asynchronous data sources.
Familiarity with frontend routing, form handling, client-side validation, and application state management.
Understanding of frontend performance optimization, error handling, and maintainable component design.

Backend Development and Data
Experience developing backend applications, API endpoints, and server-side business logic.
Familiarity with at least one backend technology, such as Node.js, Express, NestJS, Python, or an equivalent server-side framework.
Experience designing, consuming, and maintaining REST APIs.
Working knowledge of relational databases, such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, and SQL fundamentals.
Familiarity with database schema design, data modeling, query optimization, and data integrity.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, input validation, and secure handling of application data.
Experience with third-party integrations, cloud services, or backend-as-a-service platforms is desirable.

Development Practices and Infrastructure
Experience with Git and modern source control workflows.
Familiarity with software testing, debugging, and quality assurance practices.
Understanding of environment configuration, application secrets, and development, staging, and production environments.
Experience deploying and maintaining applications using platforms such as Vercel, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or equivalent hosting infrastructure.
Familiarity with automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery is desirable.
Understanding of application scalability, observability, error reporting, and production troubleshooting.
Ability to make sound technical decisions while balancing implementation complexity, maintainability, and business priorities.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with location-based services, GPS, mapping, geolocation, geospatial data, or geographic information systems.
Familiarity with mapping technologies and APIs, such as Mapbox, Google Maps Platform, or equivalent services.
Experience developing real-time applications, dashboards, data-driven platforms, or collaborative web applications.
Experience with WebSockets, background jobs, event-driven systems, or asynchronous processing.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, serverless functions, and managed database services.
Experience with modern authentication providers and third-party service integrations.
A portfolio of web applications, GitHub repositories, or other demonstrable software projects is highly desirable.
