About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance software applications. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in Java and Python, a solid understanding of algorithms and data structures, and experience building and integrating APIs.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software solutions, improve system performance, solve complex technical problems, and deliver high-quality products. We welcome candidates with 2–10+ years of experience who are passionate about software engineering, system design, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications using Java and Python.

Build, integrate, and maintain RESTful APIs and other service interfaces.

Apply algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles to solve complex problems efficiently.

Develop clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.

Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.

Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application reliability, scalability, and response times.

Implement unit, integration, and automated tests to maintain software quality.

Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders.

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.

Use version control systems such as Git to manage source code and support collaborative development.

Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.

Follow security best practices, coding standards, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.

Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows.

Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge when appropriate to experience level.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

2–10+ years of professional software development experience, depending on the level of the position.

Strong programming proficiency in Java and/or Python.

Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, complexity analysis, and problem-solving techniques.

Experience designing, developing, or integrating APIs, preferably RESTful APIs.

Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP), software design principles, and common design patterns.

Experience with Git or another distributed version control system.

Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and data modeling.

Understanding of unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and code quality practices.

Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into reliable software solutions.

Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, Flask, or FastAPI.

Experience designing distributed systems, microservices, or service-oriented architectures.

Knowledge of messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application deployment.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure automation.

Familiarity with caching technologies such as Redis.

Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and production incident management.

Knowledge of application security, authentication, authorization, and API security.

Experience working in Agile development environments.

Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects for senior-level candidates.

Compensation and Benefits

Target annual base salary range: $100,000–$210,000.

Compensation will depend on experience, technical proficiency, job level, location, and the employer's compensation structure. Senior-level positions may have additional compensation components, such as bonuses or equity, depending on company policy.
