About the job

At Mesoblast, a leader in allogeneic cellular medicines for inflammatory diseases, we work at the forefront of cell therapy. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly specialized, purpose-driven team supporting Ryoncil® in transplant centers, operating at the intersection of science, access, and clinical practice, where your work supports the teams caring for patients with serious unmet needs.

About the Role

This is a high-impact, field-based opportunity covering Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Nebraska and Kansas, with a concentration on Chicago, Minneapolis-St Paul, Milwaukee, Kansas City and Omaha, working directly with leading bone marrow transplant (BMT) and stem cell transplant centers. You must be based in or within reasonable commuting distance of one of these key markets. Chicago is listed as the primary location; however, we welcome applications from candidates based in any of the five locations above.

You will navigate complex reimbursement pathways and institution-specific dynamics, translating complexity into clear, high-value engagement. Working in close alignment with medical, market access, and commercial peers, you will play a critical role in a highly specialized therapeutic landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic engagement within BMT and stem cell transplant centers across the North Central territory
  • Partner with BMT/HSCT physicians, program directors, and multidisciplinary transplant care teams to support appropriate access
  • Deliver credible, compliant account and access discussions, referring clinical and scientific questions to Medical Affairs
  • Navigate institutional pathways including reimbursement, specialty product handling, and transplant care coordination
  • Build deep, trusted relationships across clinical, operational, and access stakeholders within transplant programs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align on account strategy and optimize access
  • Leverage data-driven insights to identify opportunities and drive territory performance
  • Execute against strategic plans and consistently deliver high-performance outcomes

Qualifications & Skills

  • 10+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical sales, business development or account management within complex, specialty markets
  • Experience in bone marrow transplant, hematology, oncology, or advanced/rare disease therapies (BMT/hematology strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior clinical stakeholders within transplant or academic center settings
  • Strong understanding of transplant patient pathways, GVHD and specialty therapy access dynamics
  • Strong scientific and clinical understanding, with the ability to engage credibly with transplant teams
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to translate insights into strategic action
  • Works independently and adapts plans as account priorities change

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary range of $200,000 to $220,000, plus a leading performance incentive plan, long-term incentive (LTI) share options, and an annual recognition award, which includes a trip to Australia for our top-performing Key Account Manager
  • Car allowance to support travel across your territory
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching up to 5%
  • Medical, dental and vision plans, with Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account options
  • Life and AD&D insurance, plus short- and long-term disability coverage
  • 4 weeks' paid time off
  • A 24/7 Employee Assistance Program for you and your family, plus optional voluntary benefits and employee discounts
