Engineer Intern

Role Description The Engineer Intern will support the development, testing, and optimization of edge AI solutions as part of the technical team in Irvine, CA. This on-site internship role involves assisting with implementation and debugging of embedded software, running experiments, collecting and analyzing performance data, and documenting findings and configurations. The intern may help integrate machine learning models with hardware platforms, verify system behavior under various operating conditions, and contribute to tools or scripts that streamline development workflows. Collaboration with engineers on prototypes, participating in design reviews, and maintaining organized project artifacts are key aspects of the day-to-day work.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of embedded systems or software engineering, including basic programming skills in languages such as C/C++, Python, or similar.
• Understanding of machine learning or signal processing concepts, with interest in applying them to edge or resource-constrained devices.
• Ability to perform structured testing, data collection, and analysis, and to document technical work clearly and accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new tools, workflows, and technologies.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented, on-site environment.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience with embedded development environments, AI development frameworks, or hardware prototyping is a plus.
