The role:
As a Junior AI Engineer, you’ll build and ship well-scoped features in production AI systems that support large-scale review, investigation, and decision-making workflows. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and domain experts, learn quickly, and grow into owning larger pieces of our agentic platform.

What you’ll do:
Build and ship features in production AI systems, from implementation through deployment
Develop and improve RAG pipelines, AI agents, and LLM-powered workflows
Write clean, tested Python and contribute to our testing, CI/CD, and monitoring practices
Work with product and domain experts to understand requirements and measure success

What we’re looking for:

• 1–5 years of software engineering experience
• 1+ years building at least one of the following: cutting-edge RAG systems, AI agents, LLM fine-tuning, or LLM context engineering
• Strong computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles
• Proficiency in Python
• Clear communication and the ability to work independently
• A degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have:

• Background in Trust & Safety, fraud detection, risk management, or related domains
• Experience with evaluation frameworks or human-in-the-loop review systems

Location:
Hybrid, Seattle: 3 days a week in office. Relocation support available for candidates moving to Washington. Visa sponsorship is available for H-1B transfers only; we’re unable to sponsor new visas at this time.

Compensation:
Base salary of $60K–$120K depending on experience, plus a 25% annual target performance bonus and 0–2% equity over 4 years, scaled by experience.
