Position Summary

Bariflo Cybernetics Private Limited is seeking a motivated and technically capable Mechanical Design Engineer Intern to contribute to ongoing product development and engineering projects.

The intern will work on mechanical design, engineering drafting, robotics mechanisms, prototyping, and design-for-manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on proficiency in SolidWorks and Fusion 360, a strong understanding of engineering drawings, and practical exposure to mechanical component and assembly design.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components, mechanisms, and assemblies using SolidWorks and Fusion 360.
Develop accurate 3D CAD models, 2D engineering drawings, assemblies, and detailed design documentation.
Work on robotics and electromechanical product design, including structural components and mechanical mechanisms.
Design sheet-metal parts, solid components, enclosures, brackets, fixtures, and 3D-printable components.
Collaborate with embedded, electronics, manufacturing, and other engineering teams to ensure mechanical designs meet overall system requirements.
Conduct appropriate simulation, structural analysis, and stress evaluation to verify mechanical integrity and functionality.
Participate in prototype development, testing, design validation, and iterative improvement.
Troubleshoot mechanical and design-related issues identified during prototyping, testing, or production.
Optimize designs for manufacturability, assembly, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Prepare and maintain drawings, revisions, BOM-related design information, and technical documentation required for manufacturing.Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree / pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Preferred Technical Exposure

Candidates with knowledge or practical exposure in the following areas will be preferred:

Materials selection and basic materials science for mechanical components.
CAM software and CNC machining processes.
Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
Mechanical simulation and stress-analysis tools.
Rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
Prototype fabrication and production processes.
Mechanical integration of motors, actuators, sensors, electronics, and embedded systems.
Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and Fusion 360 for mechanical design, 3D modelling, and drafting.
Practical knowledge of:
Robotics mechanical design
Sheet-metal design
Solid-part modelling
Assembly design
3D-printing-oriented design
Good fundamental knowledge of engineering drawing, GD&T concepts, and mechanical drafting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to understand design requirements and translate them into manufacturable mechanical solutions.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.Relevant experience may include internships, academic projects, robotics projects, product-development projects, research work, or hands-on CAD/mechanical design experience.
Internship Terms

Compensation: consolidated pay on performance
Nature of Work: Real Project-based engineering internship
Primary Tools: SolidWorks / Fusion 360
Functional Area: Mechanical R&D / Robotics / Product Development

Candidates should be prepared to work on real engineering deliverables and ongoing product-development projects and maintain proper technical documentation for their assigned work.

How to Apply

Interested candidates may send their updated CV/Resume along with a portfolio or samples of CAD/mechanical design work, where available, to:

[email protected]

What you will get?
=Internship Experience Certificate issued by the company, subject to satisfactory performance and completion of assigned deliverables.

=Hands-on Industry Experience working on real-world engineering, robotics, R&D, and product development projects.

=Practical Technical Skill Development through exposure to industry-standard tools, technologies, and engineering methodologies.

=Project Portfolio Development through documented contributions to actual product development activities, subject to confidentiality requirements.

Performance-Based Recommendation Letter for deserving interns, subject to management evaluation.
