Role Description The Project Manager at Chew is a full-time, on-site role based in Boston, MA. This role oversees end-to-end project delivery for food innovation initiatives, coordinating timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder communication. The Project Manager works closely with chefs, food scientists, and manufacturing experts to align project plans with technical and creative requirements, track progress, and mitigate risks. Daily responsibilities include managing project schedules, leading cross-functional meetings, documenting requirements and milestones, and ensuring projects stay aligned with client expectations and Chew’s quality standards. The Project Manager also contributes to process improvement, supports new business initiatives, and helps maintain a collaborative, inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with technical and creative partners in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with project management tools and documentation, such as Gantt charts, status reports, and task tracking systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to internal teams and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to organize multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues early and drive practical, data-informed solutions.
- Experience in food, consumer packaged goods, or R&D environments is strongly preferred; familiarity with manufacturing or product development processes is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
