Summary
As a Program Analyst (Data Analytics), you will supports programs and operations by providing data analytics reporting, business intelligence, and decision-support capabilities.

Duties
- Performs broad technical data analysis functions and supports the program objectives in the formulation and implementation of data that streamlines operations, improves efficiency, enhances customer service, and supports mission outcomes.
- Designs and conducts complex data efforts, comprehensive data studies, and analytical projects supporting organizational priorities, business transformation initiatives, and operational improvements.
- Primarily analyzes complex datasets and develops business-oriented reports, dashboards, and visualizations in support of operations, vehicle lifecycle management, customer engagement, supplier management, financial performance, and strategic initiatives as needed.
- Prepares and conducts briefings for higher level management to explain analysis and business intelligence project documentation. Provides recommendations and action plans and proposes direction for implementation of recommendations.
- Provides advanced data analysis using a solid knowledge base of various computer program languages and understanding of processing information.

- Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. Failure to disclose this information could result in disciplinary action including removal from Federal Service.
- Serve a one year probationary period, if required.
- Undergo and pass a background investigation (Tier 2 investigation level).
- Have your identity and work status eligibility verified if you are not a GSA employee. We will use the Department of Homeland Security’s e-Verify system for this. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of continued employment.
Qualifications

The GS-13salary range starts at $108,173per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience that must include all three of the following:
- Utilizing data analytics tools, business intelligence platforms, or programming languages to extract, manipulate, validate, and analyze complex datasets in support of program operations or performance reporting;
- Developing and presenting recurring or ad hoc reports, dashboards, data visualizations, or briefing materials that communicate analytical findings and operational trends to management or organizational stakeholders; and
- Collaborating with internal or external stakeholders to define analytical requirements, identify and resolve data integrity concerns, and deliver data-driven recommendations that support organizational decision-making or program improvement.
