Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our engineering and quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and API testing tools.
You will work closely with developers, QA engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to ensure the quality, reliability, performance, and scalability of our applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
Create automated UI tests using Selenium, Playwright, and Cypress.
Perform API testing for RESTful and web-based services.
Develop functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites.
Identify, document, troubleshoot, and track software defects.
Collaborate with developers to investigate and resolve quality issues.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Execute automated and manual tests when required.
Analyze test results and provide clear reports to development teams.
Maintain reusable test scripts, test data, and automation frameworks.
Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Continuously improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and QA processes.
Required Skills
1–5 years of experience in Software Testing / QA Automation.
Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
Experience with API testing and REST APIs.
Programming experience in Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
Knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Experience with Git/GitHub or similar version-control systems.
Understanding of CI/CD and automated testing pipelines.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Postman, REST Assured, or similar API testing tools.
Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of SQL and database validation.
Experience testing web applications and microservices.
Familiarity with Docker or cloud-based testing environments.
Experience with test reporting and automation frameworks.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
