About the job

Sensity AI is a forensic-grade platform for deepfake detection and media analysis across images, video, and audio. Combining deep learning with digital forensics, it enables law enforcement, forensic investigators, and intelligence agencies to verify digital evidence, investigate AI-driven threats, and generate explainable, court-ready reports at scale.

Founded in 2018 by AI researchers, Sensity is the world's first company specialised in the detection of AI-generated content. We are backed by Auriga Cyber Ventures, Betaworks Ventures, Amadeus Capital, and the European Innovation Council, other than by Visa Everywhere and Google News Initiative. Sensity is featured by the likes of the New York Times, the Financial Times and Bloomberg.

This is a remote role, with a preference to hire from Europe

THE ROLE

We're hiring a Intern in Multimedia Forensic Specialist to be supporting our forensic team.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

Build and test with real-world data

  • Collect authentic and manipulated media from online platforms, AI generators, mobile phones and editing software, covering the formats and pipelines our customers actually encounter.
  • Help design and document a forensically sound collection process: provenance, hashing, chain of custody and reproducible capture conditions.
  • Run our detectors and analysis features against this material, assess the results as an examiner would, and report gaps and failure cases to the research team.
  • Track new AI generators and editing tools as they appear, and record the provenance signals they carry (C2PA, SynthID and other watermarks).

Support the forensic team

  • Prepare case examples, datasets and supporting material for conferences, workshops and customer training sessions.

YOU

  • A degree in progress or recently completed in multimedia or audio forensics, forensic science, or a related field.
  • A solid grasp of the fundamentals: metadata, compression and re-encoding artefacts, sensor pattern noise, audio spectral analysis.
  • Some hands-on experience with forensic or media tools such as ExifTool, ffmpeg, iZotope RX or Amped Five/Authenticate, from coursework, projects or casework.
  • A methodical approach to documentation.
  • Clear written English.

BONUS POINTS

  • Familiarity with C2PA or other content provenance standards.
  • Basic scripting (Python or Bash) to automate collection and analysis.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A learning opportunity in a unique team at the insection of generative AI and forensics
  • Young, visionary team working at the forefront of AI research
  • International and fast-growing company
  • Amsterdam-based with flexible hours, with the opportunity to work from home, and parents friendly

We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of culture, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, disability, age, citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other basis as protected by applicable law.
