About the job
Position: Lead Engineer – Data Platforms, Performance & Agentic AI
Location: 100% Remote
Duration: Long Term Contract
- Lead end-to-end engineering solutions across data generation, ingestion, analytics, APIs, and user-facing applications.
- Design and build scalable, cloud-native, high-performance data and application platforms.
- Own architecture, technical design, sprint planning, code reviews, and engineering delivery.
- Develop real-time and batch data pipelines, event-driven systems, telemetry, and observability solutions.
- Drive performance engineering, including profiling, load testing, capacity planning, latency, throughput, and cost optimization.
- Build resilient systems with strong SLAs for availability, scalability, security, and operational readiness.
- Develop backend services using Node.js/TypeScript and Python, with modern React/TypeScript front ends.
- Leverage AWS services including Lambda, S3, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, Redshift, Athena, and DynamoDB.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation and establish automation standards.
- Design and deploy AI/ML and agentic AI solutions using LLMs, RAG, orchestration, tools, and multi-agent workflows.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and communicate architecture, tradeoffs, and strategy effectively.
- Bring 7+ years of distributed systems experience, with a strong ownership mindset and focus on scalability, reliability, and emerging AI technologies.
