Software Engineer — Backend / Full Stack

Location: New York, NY | On-site: Monday–Thursday, WFH Friday
Salary: $180K–$230K + Competitive Equity

We’re hiring Backend / Full Stack Software Engineers with 2–10 years of experience to build and scale high-performance financial payment infrastructure processing billions of dollars in transactions.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and own scalable backend systems from architecture through production.
• Develop high-performance APIs, services, and distributed systems.
• Contribute to architecture, technical standards, monitoring, and observability.
• Work closely with engineering and product leadership in a high-autonomy, fast-paced environment.
• Solve complex problems across backend, infrastructure, and full-stack systems.

Required

• 2–10 years of backend/software engineering experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Proven experience building and owning scalable backend systems end-to-end
• Strong experience in a high-growth technology environment
• Excellent communication and technical problem-solving skills
• Ability to work 4 days/week in NYC

Preferred

• Go or Node.js
• AWS and Terraform
• PostgreSQL
• REST APIs and gRPC
• Fintech, payments, banking, or financial infrastructure experience
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and observability
