About the job
About Us
Suave Money is building Phoenix Market — a place for people to convert crypto and dollars 24/7 instantly. Founded by ex-Jump Crypto and Y Combinator alumni, and backed by a16z, HF0, and Orange DAO. We're a small, fast-moving team.
We're looking for an Executive Assistant to be our CEO's right hand on the ground. About half the job is keeping his work and life running. The other half is the business: research, vendors, events and content, and representing Phoenix in person with banks, investors, partners and conference organizers. Roughly, it's 50% executive and personal assistant work, 25% business operations, and 25% events and content.
What you'll own
- The CEO's calendar and inbox. Clear the inbox, plan the week, and prepare him for each meeting.
- Travel, errands and paperwork. Bookings, reservations, returns, expenses, and whatever paperwork is due.
- Meetings and follow-ups. Go with the CEO to bank and partner meetings, take notes, and send the follow-ups the same day.
- Research and vendors. Research conferences and vendors, and recommend which to pick.
- Events and content. Cover evening events: meet people, take photos, and post a recap on X and LinkedIn.
- Your first 90 days. In the first 30 days, you'll own the CEO's calendar and inbox triage. By 90 days, you'll run travel and events end to end, and the recurring work will be written down in Notion.
What we're looking for
- In person in SF. You can work from our SF office, including some evening and weekend events.
- Startup or fast-paced experience. For example, as an executive assistant, or in operations, events or hospitality.
- Your own transportation. Most weeks you'll get to errands, meetings and events across the Bay Area, often several in one day, so you'll need a reliable way to get around on your own.
- Clear, quick writing. Emails, meeting notes and social posts.
- Discretion. You handle confidential information carefully, including company finances, legal matters, investor conversations and the CEO's personal affairs.
- Follow-through. You finish things without reminders, and when instructions are incomplete you work out the next step yourself.
- Tools and automation. We use Slack, Linear, Notion, Google Workspace and AI tools every day. When a task repeats, automate it or write it down.
- A role that changes week to week. The work includes errands and shifts from week to week, so it won't suit someone looking for a pure strategy role or a tightly defined job.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. We can't sponsor visas for this role.
- Nice to have. An interest in crypto or fintech, and comfort on social media platforms.
Why this role
- Direct access and mentorship from a repeat founder.
- Crypto and payments. You'll see how a crypto payments company runs, from banking partners to product launches.
