Co-founder, Growth & Marketing | Equity-Only Initially

We’re assembling the founding team for MATEZA AI, a proposed venture focused on multilingual AI technology. Our initial product direction includes speech, translation, and real-time language APIs, starting with Kinyarwanda and English.

We’re looking for a growth and marketing co-founder to help define our market, positioning, customer acquisition, and early partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Research potential customers and identify initial use cases
• Develop clear positioning and product messaging
• Test practical, low-cost customer acquisition approaches
• Build relationships with potential users, developers, and partners
• Track results and bring customer feedback into product decisions

Relevant experience

• Growing an early-stage product or business
• B2B, developer-product, or technology marketing
• Running measurable acquisition and messaging experiments
• Combining strategic judgment with hands-on execution

Company stage and compensation
We plan to form a new U.S. company, MATEZA AI Inc., after assembling the founding team. It is not yet incorporated. This proposed venture is separate from the existing Kigali-based Mateza business.

No cash salary is available now. The opportunity is intended to be equity-based, with allocation, vesting, responsibilities, authority, and commitment to be agreed in writing. Equity would be in the proposed new company, subject to incorporation and definitive agreements.

Any future salary would depend on funding, available budget, and a separate written agreement. Funding and future paid employment are not guaranteed.

Location
Remote, open to candidates based in the United States and Europe. Visa sponsorship is not available.
