Akkodis is recruiting for a Mechanical Project Engineer - MEP for a client in the Kansas City, KS area. This is a direct hire position with a pay range of $100K annually to $135K annually + bonus potential. Locations Kansas City, Houston, Wichita and Iowa, remote and hybrid depending on location. Responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the implementation of mechanical systems in construction projects. Your expertise in mechanical engineering principles, system design, and project management will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects that meet technical requirements, adhere to industry standards, and achieve client satisfaction.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or significant mechanical design experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry, with a focus on HVAC and plumbing systems design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and engineering analysis tools, and HVAC load calculation software (e.g., TRACE 700).
  • Knowledgeable in BMS.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical system design principles, codes, and standards, with the ability to develop innovative and efficient solutions.
