Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Director of Technology, provides support of Information Technology infrastructure and related systems. Has direct responsibility for technology, systems, and/or applications and serves as a subject matter expert for those systems. Provides support for day to day issues and requests escalated to the Network Administration Team. Represents IS in meetings regarding technical projects, issues, and initiatives. Analyzes, installs, tests, maintains, secures, operates, troubleshoots, repairs, replaces, and decommissions enterprise hardware and software. Maintains open communications and is available to component organizations and practitioner sites for consultation. Specialization of this position exists in server or networking technologies, each requiring the appropriate experience and performing specific job duties.

Bachelors of Computer Science - Preferred
Experience
3-5 Years Local and wide area networks, multi-platforms and multi-protocol systems. - Required
License & Certification
Professional Certification - Required
One or more industry certification(s) such as Cisco CCNA and CCNP - Required
Core Job Functions
Installs, configures, and maintains organizations technology infrastructure. Has direct responsibility for technology, systems, or applications and serves as a subject matter expert for one or more systems. Triages new work orders and requests for the Network Administrator team. Works with a sense of urgency and as a customer advocate ensuring issues and requests are resolved in a timely manner. Assists in the development of procedures, instructions, standards, and guidelines to perform functions related to installing and managing enterprise information systems. Participates in routine downtime activities and other after hours and weekend work as needed. Participates on project teams. Completes projects tasks on-time and attends and participates in required meetings. Provides project status reports to the IS Management Team and to the IS Project Manager. Requires close concentration to large volumes of work and project tasks, which must be completed within designated time frames. Works independently and demonstrates good critical thinking skills. Maintains an optimistic, professional, career oriented demeanor. Exemplifies excellent customer skills with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
Ensures security patches are installed in with minimal impact to users and ensures new antivirus definitions are deployed in a timely manner. Continuously measures and monitors infrastructure resources that affect security, performance, and availability of Information Technology systems and utilizes these tools to proactively address concerns before users are affected. Performs system backups and tests restores. Forecasts when additional infrastructure purchases are needed and participates in the procurement process. Ensures license compliance through careful planning and deployment of new technologies as to not install/deploy/use any software that has not been purchased or licensed appropriately.
Utilizes call logging system to capture details of every support request. Continuously updates call logging tickets with sufficient detail to allow the customer to always be aware of the current status of their issue. Creates and maintains documentation to support technology infrastructure and related systems. Documents all changes to production systems and services as part of the change management process.
Supports the mission of St. Joseph's/Candler Health System. Works regularly with information, which is restricted to specific persons. Discretion and integrity are recognized requirements of the job. Responsible for high degree of accuracy and control of details. Mistakes might cause considerable downtime, confusion, or delays. Ability to engage in multiple competing priorities during high stress situations. Participates in professional development activities and periodically attends continuing education courses. Ability to listen objectively, understand issues, and gather information in a supportive problem solving manner. Ability to demonstrate effective presentation, oral and written communication skills. Periodic travel to remote sites in personal vehicle may be required.
