About the Role
We're looking for a Software Engineer with 3+ years of professional experience to design, build, and ship high-quality software that our customers rely on every day. You'll own features end to end — from shaping the technical approach with product and design partners to deploying, monitoring, and iterating in production. This role is ideal for someone who has moved past the basics, wants more ownership, and is excited to grow toward senior-level scope.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, test, and ship scalable, reliable, and maintainable software across backend / frontend / full stack

• Own features from technical design through launch, including writing design docs and breaking work into clear milestones.

Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to turn ambiguous problems into well-scoped solutions.

Write clean, well-tested code and hold a high bar through thoughtful code reviews.

Improve system performance, reliability, and observability; participate in an on-call rotation and help drive incident follow-ups.

Contribute to architectural decisions and help evolve our engineering practices, tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.

Mentor newer engineers and share knowledge through pairing, documentation, and tech talks.

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications

3+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
Strong proficiency in at least one modern language such as Python, Go, Java, TypeScript, or similar.

Solid foundation in computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and system design.

Experience designing and consuming APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) and working with relational or NoSQL databases.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD workflows.

Comfort with testing practices (unit, integration, end-to-end) and a habit of writing maintainable code.

Clear written and verbal communication and a collaborative, low-ego working style.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or high-scale services.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
Experience building with LLMs or integrating AI/ML capabilities into products.
Frontend experience with React or a similar framework.
Experience in a fast-paced startup or high-growth environment.

Compensation & Benefits
The expected base salary range for this role in the San Francisco Bay Area is $100,000 – $165,000. Final offers are based on job-related skills, experience, and interview performance. This role is also eligible for 1-3% equity stock and annual bonus of up to $30000.
