Role Description The Senior System Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Norcross, GA. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CoreCard’s systems infrastructure to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring system health, performing system administration tasks, and proactively identifying and resolving technical issues. The Senior System Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to support production environments, troubleshoot complex incidents, and optimize system configurations. The role also involves contributing to systems design initiatives, documenting technical processes, and providing advanced technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong Systems Engineering and Systems Design skills to architect, implement, and optimize complex infrastructures.
- Hands-on experience in System Administration and Technical Support for mission-critical, high-availability environments.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting across operating systems, networks, and application layers.
- Experience with enterprise operating systems (e.g., Linux/Unix, Windows Server) and virtualization or cloud platforms.
- Above average networking concepts, security best practices, and performance tuning.
- Proficient in SonicWall Firewalls and Dell Switches
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and document system configurations and procedures.
- Experience in financial services or payment processing environments is beneficial.
