About the job
What you'll do
- Compare our forecasts with observed weather and official storm reports, and record where they matched or missed
- Collect and clean North American event data: tornado, hail and wind reports, floods, wildfire smoke episodes
- Label and review weather events so the engineering team can train and score the models
- Flag anything that looks wrong or unsafe before it reaches customers What we look for
- Based in the United States, Canada or Mexico, and authorized to work there
- Solid knowledge of weather — from study (meteorology, atmospheric or earth science), work, or serious long-term interest
- Careful and consistent with detailed, repetitive work; comfortable with spreadsheets
- Good written English
