Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will provide support in a service and manufacturing environment providing strategic and technical activities across the gas turbine facility. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate concepts into safe, reliable, functional, and cost-effective solutions.

Working Relationships

The Mechanical Engineer reports to the Shop Manager and supports project activities at the site.

Compensation

The initial hourly range is $35.67 to $41.03 based on experience and qualifications.

Job Qualifications:

• Education: BS in engineering (manufacturing, industrial mechanical, or related area) from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.

• Preferred Experience: One year of practical experience working with engines, mechanical engineering or in the power industry.

• Software/Equipment Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft technology suite, CAD

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Physical requirements needed to perform the positions, and possible working conditions that the employee could be working in.

Normal working hours are 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Monday through Friday. Work is performed on industrial site may require protective clothing and equipment, which will be provided by NAES. Extended hours may be required during project phasing and project specific requirements. Work at facilities can occur around industrial hazards, in areas of high noise levels, and around new construction. Physical mobility to transverse stairways, ladders, grating, and uneven terrain are essential. Ability to see, hear, read, and react to warning signs, lights, and alarms are essential. Required travel 10% of the time.

Fit for Duty

All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility.
