Systems Engineer 3 – Cloud Engineering

Position Overview

The Systems Engineer 3 is responsible for the systems engineering, design, integration, and technical development of cloud-based services and solutions. This role requires a strong systems engineering background combined with hands-on experience designing and engineering scalable, reliable cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer cloud-based services, systems, and infrastructure to meet mission and technical requirements.
• Develop and evaluate cloud system architectures, interfaces, and technical solutions.
• Apply systems engineering principles to requirements analysis, system integration, verification and validation, supportability, effectiveness analyses, and technical trade studies.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications.
• Engineer solutions that support scalability, reliability, performance, and the health of distributed cloud systems and virtual machines.
• Drive the stability, sustainability, and continuous improvement of cloud-based systems through engineering solutions and technical analysis.
• Utilize trends, metrics, and performance data to identify opportunities to improve existing frameworks, tools, processes, and cloud services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve systems functionality, performance, configuration, and integration issues.
• Work across hardware, software, networks, virtualized environments, and cloud services to define and integrate end-to-end solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Associate's degree (AS/AA) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience.
• High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.

Certifications

• IAT-2 certification required.
• One or more cloud certifications required.

Clearance

• Active Secret clearance required.
