Field Application Engineer

Role Description This full-time Field Application Engineer role is a hybrid position based in Chandler, AZ, with flexibility for partial work from home. The Field Application Engineer will support customers in evaluating and deploying Teradyne’s test and robotics solutions, providing technical guidance from pre-sales through post-sales engagement. Day-to-day responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, configuring and demonstrating test systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and recommending solutions that align with customer design and production needs. The role will collaborate closely with sales teams to prepare technical presentations, answer product-related questions, and assist in developing proposals and proofs of concept. The Field Application Engineer will also provide training, documentation, and ongoing technical support to help customers achieve optimal performance and productivity with Teradyne products.

Qualifications

• Experience in field applications and technical support, with the ability to interface directly with customers and resolve complex technical issues.
• Background in sales or customer-facing engineering roles, including supporting pre-sales activities and contributing to customer proposals.
• Strong knowledge of analog circuits and related design principles, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical specifications.
• Solid understanding of electronics, semiconductor test, or related electronic systems, and familiarity with automated test equipment or robotics is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, travel to customer sites as needed, and collaborate with global cross-functional teams.
• Experience in manufacturing test, semiconductor industry, or industrial automation is a plus.
• 93k or UF+ experince preferred
