Key Responsibilities

• Design and define enterprise data architecture using Snowflake and modern cloud data-platform technologies.
• Develop scalable Snowflake architecture, data models, data pipelines, and integration patterns.
• Define logical, conceptual, and physical data models for enterprise data products.
• Design modern Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Lead migration and modernization initiatives from legacy platforms to Snowflake.
• Design data ingestion and transformation patterns using ETL/ELT frameworks.
• Work with large-volume structured and semi-structured data using Snowflake.
• Implement Snowflake capabilities including Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, Dynamic Tables, Time Travel, Zero-Copy Cloning, and Snowflake SQL.
• Define architecture for batch and near-real-time data processing.
• Integrate Snowflake with cloud services such as AWS/Azure, APIs, databases, messaging platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Establish data governance, security, privacy, access control, and data-quality standards.
• Design RBAC, data masking, row-level security, encryption, and secure data-sharing solutions.
• Optimize Snowflake workloads for performance, scalability, availability, and cost.
• Establish standards for data lineage, metadata management, data quality, and data observability.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI teams, Application Architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to engineering teams.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical specifications, standards, and reusable reference architectures.
• Evaluate emerging Snowflake and cloud data technologies and recommend appropriate solutions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related technology roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture and development.
• Strong expertise in SQL and enterprise data modeling.
• Experience designing enterprise data warehouses and cloud data platforms.
• Strong understanding of Dimensional Modeling, Star/Snowflake Schemas, Data Vault, and Data Marts.
• Experience with ETL/ELT and data integration technologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with large-scale data migration and modernization programs.
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, lineage, security, and data quality.
• Experience designing batch and real-time/streaming data architectures.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architecture.
