As part of a non-profit research institute, your work will directly support the technology that powers scientific discovery, helping researchers advance breakthroughs for individuals and families affected by neurodegenerative diseases.

What You’ll Do – Major Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality Engineering team, including QE leads and contractors.
• Set performance expectations, priorities, and quality standards.
• Oversee test planning, execution, and quality assurance activities across projects and releases.
• Own and execute the QE automation roadmap.
• Drive automation adoption, reliability, and CI/CD integration.
• Establish release quality gates and provide release readiness recommendations.
• Standardize testing processes, documentation, and best practices.
• Participate in project planning, design reviews, and release planning.
• Partner with Engineering, DevOps, and Support teams to ensure quality objectives are met.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and resource planning activities.
• Manage QE contractor resources and vendor relationships.

Qualifications / Skills / Preferred

• 6-8+ years of Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing QA/QE teams or contractors.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven success leading test automation and quality improvement initiatives.
• Experience in supporting multiple concurrent releases.
• Expertise in software testing methodologies and quality best practices.
• Experience with test automation frameworks – such as Playwright.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with JIRA/XRAY/Github.
• Willingness to travel <10%.
