Data Engineer

Role Overview:

Macquarie is looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Core Python, SQL, Big Data, Shell Scripting, and AWS.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable writing production-quality Python code, developing data pipelines, working with large datasets, and building scalable data solutions on AWS.

Must Have:

Big Data Concepts , Python(Core Python- Able to write code), SQL, Shell Scripting, AWS S3

Required Skills:

7+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or a closely related field

Strong hands-on Data Engineering experience

Strong Core Python programming skills with the ability to write code independently

Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and data manipulation

Good understanding of Big Data concepts and data processing

Hands-on experience with Shell/Bash scripting

Hands-on experience with AWS S3

Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting data pipelines / ETL processes

Strong understanding of data integration, data processing, and data engineering best practices
