About LONA
LONA Beauty is skincare for people with more to do than skincare.
Built around High Standards, Low Maintenance, our adaptive, multi-use products combine high-performance skincare with a modern Western point of view. We believe beauty should fit into a full life, not get in the way of one.
We’re a small, founder-led team building LONA from the ground up, and we’re looking for a creative intern who wants to learn by being part of that process.
The Role
We’re looking for an NYC-based Creative Intern, Brand + Content to work closely with LONA’s Co-Founder and creative lead across the visual world of the brand.
This is a hands-on creative internship spanning content creation, social, design, shoots, events, and brand creative. One day you might be editing a Reel, the next working on a social graphic, shooting product outside, pulling references for an upcoming campaign, or capturing content at a LONA event.
You’ll meet weekly with LONA’s Co-Founder and work directly alongside her, gaining exposure to the thinking and decision-making behind building a consumer brand. With nearly 20 years of experience across beauty, fashion, editorial, startups, and consumer brands, she’ll provide hands-on mentorship across creative direction, brand building, design, content, art direction, and social.
The goal is for you to leave the internship with a stronger portfolio, broader creative skill set, and a real understanding of how a brand develops ideas and brings them into the world.
We’re accepting applications on a rolling basis. Candidates may begin as soon as possible, provided their school can approve academic credit for the current semester, or join us for Spring 2027.
The initial commitment is one academic semester, with the opportunity to continue through the full academic year.
This is an unpaid internship for academic credit, so applicants must be currently enrolled in a college or university and eligible to receive credit through their school.
What You’ll Do
Working alongside LONA’s creative lead, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Shoot photo and video content for social, digital, events, partnerships, and other brand channels
- Edit TikToks, Reels, Stories, founder content, product content, and short-form video
- Support graphic design across social, email, events, presentations, and other brand touchpoints
- Participate in creative concepting and help develop recurring social and content series
- Attend shoots, events, partnerships, and activations to learn how to capture content in real time
- Build moodboards, creative references, shot lists, and visual concepts
- Assist with product and lifestyle photography
- Support layouts, decks, signage, printed pieces, and other brand creative
- Learn how creative work moves from initial idea through feedback, refinement, and execution
- Help organize LONA’s growing library of photo, video, and design assets
- Research emerging visual, social, beauty, fashion, wellness, and cultural trends
- Bring your own ideas, references, and creative discoveries to weekly working sessions
- Occasionally travel upstate or elsewhere nearby for shoots, events, and content
Who You Are****

You might be a great fit if you:

- Are resourceful, curious, and comfortable trying things
- Can take creative direction while also developing your own point of view
- Are organized, dependable, and responsive
- Want to learn what it actually takes to build a brand from the inside You do not need to be equally strong at photography, video, graphic design, and social. We’re looking for someone with a strong creative foundation who is excited to develop across all of them.
The Kind of Person We’re Looking For****
LONA is about living more and doing less to get ready for it.
We want someone who connects with that.
Someone who likes getting outside. Who notices the light on a road trip, a great sign in an old motel, the texture of a vintage jacket, the packaging at a roadside store, or the way a product looks tossed into a hiking bag.
Someone who can go from a laptop to a shoot to an event to a weekend upstate and see creative opportunities everywhere.
You should be excited to live the brand as much as create for it.
What You’ll Learn****
This internship offers direct access to the creative side of building an emerging beauty brand.
Through weekly working sessions, ongoing feedback, and hands-on projects, you’ll learn directly from a founder and creative leader with nearly 20 years of industry experience.
