Sr. Audio Visual Design Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Audio Visual Design Engineer in Chicago, Illinois. This is a direct hire opportunity within the organization.

Salary: $100,000 up to $135,000 based on experience

Sr. AV Design Engineer Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with sales team to create timely and accurate proposals.
• Working closely with potential partners and customers in the design and development of AV solutions.
• Conducting site surveys to gather the information necessary to create accurate proposals.
• Producing comprehensive system designs and documentation (bill of materials, scope of work, equipment rack layout, budgets/estimation etc.).
• Supporting the design process as needed with pre-sale drawings/modeling/documentation.
• Attending customer meetings as required.
• Working closely with AV Drafters to support them in creating system drawings and documentation (AV plans, elevations, schematics, cabling schedules, etc.).

Requirements:

• Technical experience OR BS degree in related field.
• A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in the Audio-Visual field.
• 5+ years of dedicated system design experience
• AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Must have knowledge of the following products/concepts, including but not limited to: Extron, Crestron, Cisco/Polycom/Lifesize VTC Systems, Poly, Biamp, QSC, Shure MXA, Dante & AES67 standards
• Experience with Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with D-Tools, preferred but not required.
