Project & Equity Analyst

Burlington Electric Department (BED), the City of Burlington’s 100% renewably powered electric utility, is seeking a Project & Equity Analyst to advance the Burlington’s transition away from fossil fuels by collaborating with community members, external partners and stakeholders, and other BED staff to ensure that our Net Zero Energy initiatives are equitable and accessible to all customers. This position performs project management, research, and community engagement activities in support of BED’s Net Zero vision and programs and supports internal organizational development and capacity-building around equity, inclusion, and sustainability.

Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in community and economic development, sustainability, or related field; 3 years of relevant experience; knowledge of building science and/or sustainable transportation; and strong communication and relationship-building skills. This position has potential for some remote work flexibility and an annual salary range of $72,996 to 119,666, depending on experience.
