Adia Health is a health tech startup building an agentic AI platform for clinical care coordination and revenue cycle management (RCM). Our software touches real patient workflows and real claims data, which means the infrastructure underneath it has to be as trustworthy as it is fast-moving — this team operates in a regulated, compliance-first environment (SOC2, HIPAA, HITRUST) from day one, not as an afterthought.

Role Summary
We're hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to own our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), AWS infrastructure, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform). You'll be the engineer other teams rely on to ship safely and fast, and the one compliance and security partners rely on to prove that our systems are built the right way. This is a high-impact, high-trust role: you'll have real exposure to healthcare-grade compliance work (SOC2, HIPAA, HITRUST) and a direct hand in the infrastructure decisions that let Adia operate on sensitive clinical and financial data.

What You'll Own
• Own and evolve our CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions across the services powering our agentic AI platform, so releases ship fast without sacrificing safety
• Design, build, and operate our AWS infrastructure, balancing reliability and cost as production traffic and clinical/RCM workloads scale
• Author and maintain Terraform modules as the single source of truth for every environment — no manual, undocumented infra changes
• Build compliance directly into the infrastructure: audit logging, encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and change management that hold up under SOC2, HIPAA, and HITRUST audits
• Partner with security, compliance, and engineering leadership on audit prep, control evidence, and remediation
• Harden secrets management, network segmentation, and least-privilege IAM across environments handling PHI
• Build and maintain observability (metrics, logging, alerting) so incidents involving patient-facing or RCM systems are caught and resolved fast
• Support the reliability and scalability of integrations with clinical systems (EHR, HL7, FHIR) as adoption grows
• Participate in on-call, and drive capacity planning and disaster recovery / business continuity practices
• Mentor other engineers on infrastructure and DevOps best practices

Requirements
• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering, including 2+ years owning production AWS environments
• Deep, hands-on Terraform experience — you've built and maintained IaC as the source of truth in a real production environment, not just used it
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions (or directly transferable experience from a comparable platform)
• Experience operating in a regulated or compliance-heavy environment (SOC2 Type II, HIPAA, HITRUST, or similar); healthcare or health-tech experience strongly preferred
• Solid command of core AWS services: VPC, EKS/ECS, IAM, RDS, Lambda, KMS, CloudWatch
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python and/or Bash)
• Experience building and maintaining observability stacks (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, CloudWatch)
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, security/compliance, and leadership in a fast-moving startup environment

Nice to Have
• Prior experience at a health tech or health IT company handling PHI in production
• Familiarity with HL7/FHIR-based systems or EHR integrations (e.g., Epic)
• Experience supporting infrastructure for AI/LLM workloads (model inference, vector databases, GPU infrastructure)
• Direct experience achieving or maintaining a HITRUST CSF certification or SOC2 Type II audit from the infrastructure side
• Prior experience at an early-stage (Series A/B) startup
