E3 RF Engineer

Amentum is seeking an E3 RF Engineer to support the test, evaluation, integration, and configuration of C5ISR systems in Dahlgren, Virginia. The position will provide engineering support involving Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3), radio frequency (RF) engineering, modeling and simulation, and EMI/EMC testing and analysis.

E3 RF Engineer Responsibilities Include:

• Perform E3 computation and RF modeling and simulation.
• Develop detailed EMI/EMC test plans.
• Participate in EMI/EMC test planning meetings and test readiness reviews.
• Perform EMI/EMC testing.
• Gather, reduce, and analyze resulting test data.
• Prepare and publish detailed EMI/EMC test reports.
• Review technical documentation.
• Provide technical meeting support.
• Support the test, evaluation, integration, and configuration of C5ISR systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
• Six (6) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Naval Architecture.
• Four (4) years of experience in the theoretical and practical aspects of Research, Development, Test, Engineering, or Integration related to warfare systems or electronic systems.
• Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following technical areas: RF and Microwave Engineering; EMP; E3; EMI/EMC; E3 Computation and RF Simulation; E3/EMI/EMC/PCI Testing; Defense Acquisition Engineering; EM problem investigation; E3 instructions, standards, policies, and procedures; Spectrum; EMC; or RADHAZ Certification.
• Experience with EMI/EMC analysis and assessment, EMI planned maintenance systems (PMS), USN Optimized Fleet Response Plan (O-FRP), EMI control and mitigation, and EMI control or measurement drawings.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance. (At a minimum, must receive/be approved for an Interim Secret security clearance in order to start.) Note: U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a Secret clearance.

Compensation Details:

$80,000-$140,000
